Quality Control Technician

J.D.M Materials Company is looking for a full time Quality Control Technician based out of our Norristown location.

The role will be responsible for performing the daily QC functions as required and daily materials testing, process and final product inspections. This position requires the employee to oversee a wide variety of QC functions.

Essential Functions:
-Perform initial and ongoing testing of concrete for gradation, moisture slump, air content and temperature
-Maintain contact with Plant Operations and Quality Control Manager to make any necessary adjustments to the mixture are made                                                                                                                        -Produce  hardened concrete cylinder
-In the lab, perform tests that measure the strength of the concrete cylinder

-Compare the value to the value of the design to ensure compliance

-Communicate any information to the Quality Control Manager

-Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

–Safely and efficiently collect samples for testing of concrete materials
-Understand the various components that make up the product and how they interact with each other

 -Understand how to troubleshoot the various problems that occur with the product and how to correct them
-Understand the proper technique for concrete testing

-Properly follow all Company policies and procedures and MSHA and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures

-Valid Driver’s License

-ACI  level 1

-Previous Quality Control Experience (Preferred)

-Penn Dot NECEPT Concrete tech

-Day, Night and overnights maybe required

Ability to:
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more and able to push or pull up to 100lbs
-Listen to and communicate effectively with Quality Control Manager.
-Work Flexible Schedule

High School Diploma or equivalent

*Must Be Able to Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Random Drug Screening*
